OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City Barons now know their first round playoff opponent.

OKC will take on the Hamilton (Ontario) Bulldogs in a best-of-seven series beginning April 14 in Hamilton. The Bulldogs are the AHL affiliate of the Montreal Canadiens and won the league’s North Division.

The series will take on a 2-3-2 format, meaning Hamilton hosts the first two games.

Oklahoma City will host games on April 19 and 20, and would host on April 22 if a game was necessary.

The final two games of the series (if necessary) would be in Hamilton.

The two teams split their two-game series during the regular season.

Tickets for the games in OKC will go on sale Tuesday morning at the Cox Convention Center box office at 11 a.m. and are also available through Ticketmaster.

Oklahoma City will also have several new faces on the roster for a playoff run.

The Edmonton Oilers sent five players to the Barons’ roster and they will be eligible to play in the postseason.

Forwards Chris Vande Velde, Teemu Hartikainen, Ryan O’Marra and Linus Omark along with defensemen Jeff Petry will join the Barons.
