TULSA, Oklahoma – Tulsa City Councilor Bill Christiansen said Friday he will not seek reelection.

Christiansen has served five terms as representative of District 8.

"I have very much enjoyed serving the citizens of Tulsa for the last nine and a half years, and I greatly appreciate the support given to me by the citizens of District 8," he said.

Christiansen said he looks forward to serving the city through the remainder of his term.

Christiansen has served as President of Christiansen Aviation at Jones Riverside Airport since 1972, according to the City of Tulsa's website.  The company, which employs 30-35 people, sells fuel, jet fuel, and aircraft and provides aircraft parts and maintenance, the website said.
