ROGERS COUNTY, Oklahoma -- Three people were injured in a two-car collision just south of Foyil on U.S. Highway 66 Saturday morning, according to a report by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

Troopers say 19-year-old Jacob Vann of Claremore was turning westbound onto the highway from EW 43 when he failed to yield from a stop sign. His 2004 Kia Optima was hit by a 1999 Chevrolet van that was traveling northbound on Route 66.

Vann was airlifted to a Tulsa Hospital where he was admitted in good condition with head and trunk injuries.

The driver of the van, 50-year-old David Holloway of Foyil, was treated and released for minor injuries. His passenger, 46-year-old Stacy Swinney of Foyil, was also treated and released with minor injuries.

Everyone involved was wearing a seat belt, troopers say. The condition of both drivers before the wreck is listed as normal. The accident was caused by Vann's failure to yield from a stop sign, according to the report.
