Class A Baseball Quarterfinal Results

Sentinel and Sterling started off the day with an offensive explosion.

With Oklahoma baseball state tournaments in action, Oklahoma Sports brings you the highlights and action from the Class A tournament.

Sentinel 12, Sterling 11

In an all-offense game, Sentinel's Landon Warren slammed the door on Sterling to grab the save.

Sentinel was led by an eight-run second inning, including a two-run home run by senior outfielder Aaron Quickie.

Sterling battled back from the 8-1 deficit, scoring four runs in the bottom of the second and fifth innings. Senior Cole Coleman's solo home run closed the gap to one run, but it wasn't enough to beat Sentinel as Ryan Lenaburg grabbed the win.

Soper 18, Wright 8

There was no lack of offense in this one, with the two teams combining for 26 hits.

Soper's Spencer Lindsey finished the game's scoring with a three-run home run that run-ruled Wright after just five innings.

Fletcher 14, Cashion 3

The Fletcher Wildcats spoiled Cashion's long awaited return to the State Tournament. Fletcher defeated Cashion 14-3 in five innings of play.

Fletcher opened up the game with four runs in the top of the first. Kas Sanders hit a three-run homer and teammate Taylor Smith followed up with a solo home run.


Fletcher added five more runs in the top of third inning and they led 9-1 heading into the fourth inning.

Fletcher's Kas Sanders finished with a perfect game at the plate, going 4-4, hitting one home run, two doubles and one single. Taylor Smith also added two home runs for the Wildcats.

Billy Love picked up the victory for the Wildcats, pitching all five innings,while giving up six hits.

Cashion was making their first appearance in the state tournament in over 20 years. 1986 was the last time they made into the tournament.


Fletcher will face Soper Friday in the Class A Semifinals at Dolese Park. The game is scheduled to start at noon.

Okarche 9, Amber Pocasset 2

The Okarche Warriors untied the game at one in the top of the second inning. Tyler Miller hit a two-run home run as theWarriors scored four runs in the second to take a 5-1 lead into the third inning. Miller also hit a double in the victory for the Warriors.

The Warriors out-hit the Panthers 11-6. Ryan Raupe picked up the win for the Warriors, striking out 12 Panthers.

Okarche will play Sentinel Friday at Dolese Park.
