SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Red River Rivalry between Oklahoma and Texas has once again boiled over, this time leaving two men in a San Antonio hospital.

According to KENS 5 Police officers were called to a northwest San Antonio Applebee's restaurant just before midnight on Monday in regards to a fight between an Oklahoma Sooners fan and a Texas Longhorns fan.

The fight began as an argument between the two fans about college football, but quickly escalated and got physical when the Oklahoma fan pulled a knife and attacked the Texas fan.

Police say the men struggled over the knife and both were stabbed in the fight.

Both men were taken to University Hospital in San Antonio. The Texas fan was last listed in stable condition while the OU fan was reported in critical condition.
