Glenpool Event Is For The Dogs - And Their Owners

GLENPOOL, Oklahoma -- Dog owners and their pets took center stage at the AKC Responsible Dog Ownership Day event held at the Glenpool Conference Center Saturday.

Governor Mary Fallin declared September 17th the day for being a responsible dog owner, and the Mid-Continent Kennel Club offered an all-day event and introduction to the fun – and commitment – of owning man's best friend.

The event featured dog handling classes, agility and other dog training demonstrations, plus a pet contest.

Discounts were offered for micro-chipping, and vendors were on hand to offer everything for pups.
