A Tulsa retirement community dedicated a lasting tribute to our men and women in uniform. The folks at Montereau, near 71st and Yale, celebrated Veterans Day at their new "Freedom Circle."

The granite monument serves as a reminder that the freedoms we enjoy come at a price. There are also more than one hundred brick markers honoring individuals who've served.

"We seem to have continuing wars, so we'll be imbedding bricks here for years to come and honoring our veterans forever here, long after I'm gone," said Harold Zimmerman, Montereau Resident.

There are 137 veterans currently living at Montereau -- most from World War II.
