McLoud Teacher Accused Of Putting Students In Lingerie Resigns
McLOUD, Oklahoma - An elementary school teacher under investigation for inappropriate behavior with her students has resigned.
According to McLoud Public Schools Superintendent Doran Smith, Kimberly Crain turned in her resignation letter to the district just after noon on Monday.
Crain had been with the district for almost six years and was teaching third grade when she resigned. She was put on administrative leave on November 18 following allegations she had inappropriate relations with five female students.
The allegations stem from an incident that occurred November 11 inside Crain's Shawnee home. Crain allegedly invited five third and fourth grade students over for a pizza party and to help her decorate a Christmas tree.
According to one of the girls' parents, the gathering turned sexual and inappropriate. A police affidavit stated one of the victims told her parents that Crain asked the girls to go one by one into the bedroom to change into Christmas themed bras and panties, which she had laid out for them.
Once changed, the girls ate pizza and decorated the tree while Crain took pictures and video of them, according to the affidavit.
Court papers also show other allegations that stated Crain had students talk to an older man over Skype two to three times a week while in her classroom. The court papers also state Crain took pictures of students posing on their desks with a cell phone.
Police plan to seize all laptop and desktop computers and/or all digital storage devices from Crain's home.
The FBI and local police are investigating the allegations against Crain. She has not been charged with any crime at this point. The school district is cooperating with police.
