The news was obviously disappointing to Cowboys fans. News on Six's Emily Baucum was at Eskimo Joes in Stillwater when the BCS rankings were released.
When the selection show started with Cowboys highlights, Eskimo Joes erupted in cheers, and then the announcement. All it took was about five seconds for the life to be sucked out of Eskimo Joes.
People booed and yelled that college football needs a playoff system and then silence. Complete silence as the restaurant reflected on what just happened.
Everyone there believes the Cowboys deserved a shot at number one LSU. No one here wants a rematch of LSU and Bama, but that's what we'll get.

The crowd listened very attentively as Coach Mike Gundy was interviewed live on ESPN and clapped for the man who led them through this amazing season with a now very deflated ending.
There may be no bigger OSU fan than 83-year-old Boone Pickens. The stadium bears his name, after all.
Pickens tweeted Sunday night that he's disappointed, but said "there's no question, everyone knows who Oklahoma State University is now."
