Two companies will be hiring over 500 employees in the Tulsa area, according to the Oklahoma Department of Commerce.
The jobs are being created through the Oklahoma Quality Jobs Program that offers cash incentives to companies locating or expanding in Oklahoma.
CFS II, Inc., a debt collecting and financial counseling business, will hire the most new employees with 500 jobs, according to a news release. The company can earn up to $8,896,610 in quarterly cash payments on the new payroll.
Panther Energy Company, an oil and gas business, will offer 42 new positions. Their maximum benefits amount is $2,277,190.
A third company, located in Oklahoma City, will hire 53 new people, according the state Department of Commerce. American Prepared Foods, which manufactures and processes chicken, turkey and beef products, will receive up to $964,006 in the Quality Jobs incentive program.
To qualify, a company must be a central administrative office, manufacturer, research and development, or a listed service company with 75 percent of total sales to out-of-state customers. Most companies must achieve a $2.5 million taxable payroll for any four consecutive quarters during the first 12 quarters in the program, according to the release.
