A man driving well over the speed limit was taken to a Tulsa hospital early Monday after going off the road and flipping his car at least once near 46th Street North and Cincinnati.

Tulsa Police say the crash happened at about 2 a.m. Police say the driver was speeding at between 85 and 100 mph when the crash occurred.

The driver was able to walk away from the crash according to police because he was wearing his seat belt.

EMSA paramedics did check out the driver at the scene. Police say the car's speed and the driver's distraction led to the crash.

The car ended up in a resident's backyard.
