Tulsa Transit Lift Bus Collides With Semi Truck On I-44, 2 Injured

Emergency workers responded to a collision between a semi trailer truck and a Tulsa Transit Lift bus on eastbound Interstate 44 at Delaware in Tulsa.

The wreck took place at about 10:30 a.m. Monday.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the 18-wheeler was apparently changing lanes, forcing the Tulsa Transit bus into the center retaining wall.

EMSA has transported a 69-year-old female passenger to a Tulsa hospital in serious condition.  A 49-year-old man also on the bus was treated at the scene by EMSA paramedics, but declined transport to the hospital. 

The Tulsa Transit Lift program provides rides for persons with disabilities.
