BROKEN ARROW, Oklahoma - The Oklahoma Department of Transportation and City of Broken Arrow are continuing to install lights along a stretch of the Broken Arrow Expressway.

Beginning Monday, January 16th, daytime motorists will see work on State Highway 51 as crews install pole-mounted lights on the center dividing wall of the highway.

The inside lane of the highway will be closed from 9 a.m. till 3 p.m. Monday through Friday from 9th Street (Lynn Lane) to 23rd (193rd East Avenue/County Line Road) until the project is completed.

The estimated completion date is February 1.

Although most of the work will be done during daylight hours, there will be periodic lane closures at night, according to Sergeant Ed Ferguson of the Broken Arrow Police Department.

Motorists are urged to use extra care, watch out for construction workers and obey all warning signs.
