The trial of a man accused in a deadly fire resumed Tuesday.
Mark Roberts is accused of making meth, when a deadly fire started at the Royal Arms Apartments nearly three years ago.
Tuesday, the prosecution and the defense continued to question the fire investigator. The fire investigator continued to describe in detail, photographs taken after the fire ripped through the apartments.
A fire extinguisher was seen under the debris but the investigator said it wasn't significant to the investigation.
When the investigator interviewed Mark Roberts at the hospital Roberts said he wasn't cooking food and he didn't smoke.
The fire investigator said, "In my opinion, the fire was caused by manufacturing meth."
In cross examination, the defense hammered the fire investigator about properly documenting evidence, saying that if they had done their job properly, the fire extinguisher would have been noted.
The defense also argued that nothing was found in the area where the fire was believed to have started. No fire accelerant, no candles, and no meth making materials.
The trial is expected to continue Wednesday.
