Tulsa Police Investigate Robberies Late Tuesday, Early Wednesday

A man and woman using a knife and pepper spray robbed a clerk of a convenience store late Tuesday night near 33rd and Yale.

A man and woman using a knife and pepper spray robbed a clerk at a convenience store late Tuesday night near 33rd and Yale.

Tulsa Police say the pair walked into the BN Mart at 10:40 p.m. and demanded cash.

When the clerk resisted, the robber peppered sprayed the clerk then ran out the door.

The clerk was treated at the scene by EMSA paramedics.

Police believe the couple left in a brown minivan.

Tulsa Police say two men robbed the Whataburger near 61st and Sheridan early Wednesday.

The pair walked into the restaurant at 3:30 a.m., demanded cash from the register and safe, then ran away.

The store's employees were not injured.

A short time later, a police officer started following a suspicious vehicle but at 61st and Yale the car took off and a short chase ensued. 

After stopping the car, both men ran away.  Police arrested the driver, Gregory Byrd.  He was booked into the Tulsa County jail on an armed robbery complaint.  The passenger got away.
