Sperry Man Charged With Two Counts Of First Degree Rape

An elderly Sperry man is being held in the Tulsa County jail on two charges of first degree rape.

An arrest warrant was issued last week for 73-year-old Louis Stegerman following an investigation by the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office. Court documents say the victim was under the age of 14.

Investigators say the incident occurred in September 2011. The girl told her mother, who reported it to the sheriff's office.

After DNA testing and interviews, an arrest warrant was issued and Stegerman was arrested on January 17, 2012.
