Construction will close Riverside Drive at the Interstate 44 junction starting at 9 p.m. Friday. All northbound and southbound lanes of Riverside will be closed through the weekend.
Crews are removing part of the bridge deck. Riverside traffic will be detoured onto Peoria. East and westbound I-44 access roads will stay open.
Riverside should be reopened by 6 a.m. Monday.
