A hit-and-run driver is on the loose.

Bobby Richardson's family wants to know who crashed and killed him while he was riding his bicycle. They know it won't bring Bobby back, but they want the driver to be held accountable.

Back in high school, Bobby was a state wrestling champ at Owasso high school. He was a huge race fan and grew up to be the dad that attends his son's sporting events, and even coached many of them.

He made a career out of laying tile, and his work is seen in some of the most beautiful churches and buildings in the area.

"Bobby was easy going, very outspoken, very friendly," said Jimmy Richardson, Bobby's brother.

Nobody is saying Bobby was perfect, but they say he had a great love for life and was a special person.

Bobby was riding his bike to a friend's house around 8 p.m. January 7, 2012, near 12th and 101st East Avenue.

A witness says a person in a silver sedan hit him from behind. The impact knocked him out of his shoes. He died from a massive head injury. The driver never stopped, just took off going east.

"That's the thing that the family is having a real hard time understanding, that somebody could possibly, accidentally have done this and didn't have the heart to stop," Jimmy said.

Bobby's 15-year-old son Luke had just talked to him that day and they made plans to have dinner the next night. Now, Luke is looking at playing sports, graduating high school and going to prom, all without his dad there to share it.

The family needs to know who took Bobby away.

"We just need to take care of that part of it. It needs to be done. It's not going to bring him back, but I think it might help," said Kim Richardson, Bobby's ex wife.

Police say that silver sedan should have damage to the right front end.

Anyone who has information about the car or its driver can get a cash reward if their tip leads to an arrest. Call Crime Stoppers at 918-596- COPS.
