The Tulsa Shock have re-signed forward Jennifer Lacy to a multi-year contract.

Shock President Steve Swetoha announced the signing Monday after Lacy has been with the team each of the past two seasons.

"Re-signing Jennifer Lacy was a huge priority for us this off-season," said Swetoha . "She's a leader and a professional on and off the court and we are extremely excited to have her back in a Shock uniform."

"I am really excited about coming back to Tulsa," Lacy said. "Despite our record it has been a great place to play with the best fans in the WNBA. Their loyalty is unparalleled and I look forward to playing for them again this season."

Lacy and Tiffany Jackson were the only two Shock players to appear in all 34 games for the Shock in 2011. Lacy started 18 games and averaged 6.3 points and 2.6 rebounds in about 19 minutes of playing time per game.

"She embodies the kind of player we want to continue to build around - a high-energy contributor that will continue to work hard to improve," said Shock head coach Gary Kloppenburg .

The 6'3 forward graduated from Pepperdine University and was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Phoenix Mercury in 2006. Later in the 2008 Expansion Draft she was acquired by the Atlanta Dream. Lacy initially signed with the Shock in June 2010.

"She is a versatile defender and has the quickness and skills to be able to play multiple positions added Kloppenburg. "She is a person of high character that is a great teammate that contributes greatly to the Tulsa community. We are looking forward to her return to the Tulsa Shock as we continue to improve this off-season."
