Editor's note:  An earlier version of this story reported that Owasso's bond issue was to raise money for the district's general fund.  That was incorrect.  The correct plan for the funds is detailed below.

Some Oklahoma voters will head to the polls Tuesday to cast ballots for school board members, bond issues and a primary election for a state House of Representatives seat.

Dan Sullivan left his state office to take a job at the Grand River Dam Association, leaving a vacancy in Tulsa's District 71 house seat.

Voters in Owasso, Union, Jenks and Bartlesville will be deciding on various bond issues for construction and transportation issues.

Union Schools are asking voters for $19 million for expanded tennis and swimming facilities, a fine arts building at the Sixth/Seventh Grade Center, new textbooks and 15 new school buses, among other projects.

Voters will decide on a $5 million bond issue for Owasso Schools.  The money would be used for technology upgrades, text and library books, buses and maintenance upgrades.

Jenks Schools want around $10 million for new textbooks, maintenance items and transportation equipment.

Bartlesville Schools say a $49 million bond issue there will go towards construction and expansion of schools in the district.

Oklahoma law requires school bond propositions to pass by a 60 percent super majority.

Polls are open until 7 p.m. Tuesday.
