Former Washington County Jailer On Trial For Murder Of Girlfriend's Young Son

A jury trial is scheduled to begin Tuesday in Washington County for a Bartlesville man charged in the death of a 3-year-old boy in December 2010.

Joshua Benton, 24, is charged in the death of his girlfriend's son, Christian Norris.

Jury selection is expected to begin Tuesday morning.

The State Medical Examiner's office said Christian Norris died from complications from a lower back fracture due to blunt force trauma.

Benton was a detention officer at the Washington County jail.
