Now you can go green when you cut your grass. There's a growing fleet of commercial lawn mowers that use propane and compressed natural gas instead of gasoline or diesel.
On Tuesday, the group "Tulsa Area Clean Cities" showed off more than 30 models produced by several different companies. They say CNG and propane cost less than other fuels and burn cleaner.
"It's kind of a slow catch on, but I believe it is catching on," said Kris Stump of Smith Farm & Garden. "We're concerned about it for the future, not only of our generation, but also generations to come."
The group also says converting to these alternative fuels keeps energy dollars here which helps grow the economy.
