TULSA, Oklahoma – The Tulsa 66ers continued a rough stretch in heartbreaking fashion on Tuesday, dropping an 86-84 game to the Maine Red Claws on Tuesday.

The 66ers had multiple shots to win it themselves, but couldn't convert on two potential game winners with under a minute to play.

Maine got the ball back with 2.2 seconds remaining and called timeout to advance the ball into the frontcourt.

And guard Kenny Haynes knocked down a jumper to give the Red Claws their final margin of victory.

"It was a good shot, give him (Hayes) credit," 66ers coach Dale Osbourne said. "We played tough defense and he made a great play."

Tulsa got a balanced scoring effort with five players in double figures. Marcus Lewis and Robert Vaden put up 17 points apiece. Delroy James had 15, Larry Owens had 13 and Xavier Alexander had 10.

"The most important thing to take away from this game is that I see our team making strides," Osbourne said. "We have had a couple of tough games recently, but our focus must continue to be to work hard every day."

The 66ers have one game remaining before the All-Star break. They will travel to Austin to take on the Toros at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
