Six Red Cross volunteers associated with the Tulsa Chapter of the American Red Cross arrived in Woodward Monday to assist with Red Cross disaster relief operations following the weekend's tornadoes in western Oklahoma.

The Red Cross says the volunteers will be working alongside other Red Cross volunteers and staff members who have been on-scene since shortly after the storms hit, helping residents as they begin to recover.

The Tulsa area volunteers will help to coordinate Red Cross assistance as well as connecting the residents with partner agencies who can assist with longer-term needs.
