Increase In Call Volume Leads To Dedicated Ambulance In Bixby
BIXBY, Oklahoma - EMSA announced Monday that due to an increase in call volume, they will provide a dedicated ambulance to Bixby.
The ambulance will be stationed in the downtown area and respond to service calls within the city of Bixby from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays.
EMSA currently serves the fast growing southern Tulsa County suburb but does not have an assigned ambulance for the area.
"We want to work with the city to make sure our services are always within easy access," EMSA Spokesperson Chris Stevens said. "Seconds count in this business."
The dedicated unit begins service on Monday, April 23, 2012.
