Several Oklahoma Highways Remain Closed Due To Flooding

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says several highways remain closed Wednesday due to flooding. 

Heavy rainsSunday and Monday across northern and northeastern Oklahoma caused a number of rivers and streams to overflow their banks.  

ODOT has signs posted warning of the road closings:

• Craig County - State Highway 10 at Big Creek west of Welch
• Grant County - State Highway 11 from Medford east to the State Highway 74 junction
• Kay County - US Highway 77 south of Tonkawa; State Highway 156 north of Marland
• Noble County - State Highway 15 from Red Rock west to the US Highway 77 junction
• Nowata County - State Highway 10 east of US Highway 169 near Lenapah
• Osage County - State Highway 18 north of Fairfax

One bridge on State Highway 10 west of Welch in Craig County is going to remain closed even after flood waters recede. 

ODOT says the bridge was damaged by the water and will have to be repaired or replaced.
