The Tulsa Drillers extended their win streak to three games Sunday, knocking off the Arkansas Travelers 4-2 in the series finale.
Kiel Roling started off the scoring for Tulsa in the bottom of the second, sending a home run over the right field wall to take a 1-0 advantage.
In the bottom of the second, Michael Mitchell doubled in the second at-bat, and three batters later Jimmy Cesario singled to right field to bring Mitchell home to take a 2-0 lead. A double to left field in the bottom of the fifth to bring Jose Gonzalez home gave the Drillers a 3-0 advantage.
Gonzalez drove in a run of his own in the bottom of the sixth, bringing Tim Torres across the plate to score Tulsa's last run of the game and take a four-run advantage.
Casey Hearther singled in the top of the seventh to bring Renny Osuna home to score Arkansas' first run, and Adam Heether cut into the lead in the top of the seventh, but the Travelers were unable to come back all the way.
Nich Schmidt (2-1) picked up a win for his work, giving up just one earned run on three hits and striking out five in his eight innings of service. Eddie McKiernan (3-1) received his first loss of the year, giving up three earned runs on seven hits in 4.2 innings of service.
The Drillers will be back in action at 4:05 p.m. Monday against the Northwest Arkansas Naturals.
