A man was rushed to a Tulsa hospital in critical condition after he was shot in the back in East Tulsa early Tuesday morning.

The shooting happened at a home 11800 block of East 22nd Street at around 3:15 a.m.

Tulsa Police say when officers arrived, Kimberly Lara stated she got into a domestic dispute with Steve Peterson because she was tired of being "pimped out."  In a "rage" she fired a gun striking Peterson in the back.

EMSA transported Peterson to a Tulsa hospital.

Police say a 7-year-old child was in another part of the home at the time but was not hurt.

Lara was booked into the Tulsa County jail on complaints of shooting with intent to kill and assault with a deadly weapon.

Last month Kimberly Lara pled guilty in Tulsa County Court to two misdemeanor charges of engaging in prostitution and operating/soliciting prostitution.  She was sentenced to one year in the county jail with all time suspended.
