A federal jury Tuesday found a Konawa, Oklahoma man guilty of attempting to blow up a natural gas line.

A federal jury Tuesday found a Konawa, Oklahoma man guilty of attempting to blow up a natural gas line.

Federal prosecutors say Daniel Herriman, 41, placed a bomb on the pipeline in Okfuskee County in August of 2011.

The bomb was found attached to the Enerfin Resources gas pipeline by an employee. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol Bomb Squad removed the device and destroyed it.

Herriman was ordered to undergo psychiatric evaluation before the May 9, 2012 trial. He was found guilty on charges of attempting to destroy or damage property by means of an explosive and illegal making of a destructive device.

A sentencing date has not been announced.
