Two young men are dead after an overnight wreck in the 11500 block of South Delaware in Tulsa. Advance traffic investigators remained at the scene hours after the single-car crash.

The men have been identified as driver Daris H. Schell, 25, and passenger Michael D. Brown, 24.

Authorities say at about 2:30 a.m. Saturday friends in two cars were driving together on Delaware, south of the Creek Turnpike. One vehicle passed the other and continued out of sight of the second car, a white BMW.

After learning that their friends never arrived at their destination, the second group went back looking for BMW. It was discovered wrapped around a tree west of Delaware near 115th Street.

Both occupants of the car were pronounced dead at the scene.
