Thunderstorms Cause Flooding, Power Outages Across Tulsa County

Thunderstorms early Monday morning dumped large amounts of rain across Tulsa County, stranding drivers in high water.

Thunderstorms early Monday morning dumped large amounts of rain across Tulsa County, stranding drivers in high water. 

Residences and businesses near Bird Creek in Skiatook have seen some of the worse flooding in the Tulsa County area Monday.

Skiatook has gotten six inches of rain in a just a few hours.  State Highway 20 just east of State Highway 11 is closed because of rising flood waters.

The storm also knocked down power lines and broke tree branches across the area.

So far authorities say there are no reports of any serious injuries from the storms.

PSO and OG&E say a number of customers are still without electric service Monday morning.
