The Tulsa Drillers rebounded from last night's blowout loss to Corpus Christi by posting a 7-4 victory against the Hooks on Sunday night in Tulsa.

Tulsa won despite giving up 14 hits thanks to a bevy of solo-shot home runs and solid relief pitching.

The Drillers separated themselves with a four-run seventh inning to break a 3-3 tie. Left fielder Corey Dickerson got things started in the seventh with a solo home run over the right field wall. Center fielder Michael Mitchell tacked on the second run of the inning when he smacked a solo shot over the left wall.

Not long after, Josh Rutledge hit a line drive up the middle to score pinch hitter Tim Torres, who stole two bases to get into scoring position during Rutledge's at-bat. Jimmy Cesario singled on a grounder to left field to drive in Rutledge, wrapping up the scoring in the inning.

Corpus Christi struck first to take a 1-0 lead after the first inning but Tulsa answered in the second when Mitchell singled to center. A throwing error by Hooks' center fielder Drew Muren allowed Jose Gonzales to score.

The Drillers picked up two runs in the third off of solo homers from Rutledge and Cesario.

Tulsa's Brandon Hynick got the start and pitched 5.2 innings, giving up 11 hits and three runs, but Tim Sexton picked up the win in 1.1 inning of work on the mound to improve to 3-0 on the year.

The Drillers play the Hooks at 7:05 p.m. on Monday at ONEOK Field.
