Six people were ejected from a sport utility vehicle and three children are in critical condition after the driver fell asleep at the wheel, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

The Saturday morning Pushmataha County single-vehicle collision left three children in critical condition and six other people injured.

Hayley, 10, Mason, 7, and Joshua Cohran, 6, all of Florence, Mississippi, were transported by medical helicopter from the accident to Children's Hospital in Dallas, where they are listed in critical condition, OHP said.

According to the investigating trooper's report, Jelena Cureington, 33, of Tulsa, was northbound on the Indian Nations Turnpike at about 11 a.m. when she fell asleep, departed the roadway to the left median, overcorrected to the right and rolled a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer once.

There were nine people, three adults and six children, in the car.

Cureington and five of the passengers were taken to Pushmataha County Hospital. The passengers -- 35-year-old Elizabeth Daniels, of Tulsa; 27-year-old Emma Cohran, of Florence, Mississippi; and 17-year-old Dalton Lacore, of Florence, Mississippi -- were treated for minor injuries and released.

Another passenger, 9-year-old Less Cohran, was taken to the Pushmataha County Hospital, then transferred by ambulance to McAlister Regional Hospital, where he is listed in stable condition.

A 2-year-old, Noah Cohran, was in a child seat and not injured. Noah Cohran, Cureington and Daniels were not ejected.

Emma Cohran and Lacore were not wearing seat belts and were riding in the cargo area of the vehicle. Haley and Less Cohran were sharing a seat belt; and Mason and Joshua Cohran were sharing a seat belt, the report said.
