A Green Country family said they are relieved a judge did not reduce the sentence of a man convicted of killing three people in a car crash on Christmas Eve 2009.

Wade Jameson was driving without a license, weaving in and out of traffic and speeding when he crossed the center line of Old Highway 51 in Sand Springs and slammed into a car, killing Michael and Angela Mulanax and their son, James.

Jameson was sentenced to 24 years for manslaughter, but because he pleaded guilty, he had the right to have his sentence reviewed after one year.

Friday, a judge left the sentence the same.

Jameson apologized in court to the victims' family. But, the family said it was too little, too late.

"I know someday he will face our maker, so whatever happens on earth, he still will be held accountable," said Angela's mother, Linda Perkins.

One of Jameson's family friends, Lora Larson, said, "He has shown remorse.  He's told every one of us how much sorrow he has over this."

Jameson's father has passed away and left him a $92,000 inheritance.

Wade Jameson has offered that to the Mulanax family, but no settlement has been reached.
