A missing Oklahoma man has been found dead in Montana. Mark Bennett was found dead in his camper Friday night, according to his brother.

Bennett was traveling to celebrate a positive outcome following a year-long battle with throat cancer. His family feared the worst after Mark fell out of touch a week ago.

"He was in his camper and had apparently died in his sleep of natural causes," brother David Bennett said. "Thankfully there were no signs of foul play."

Bennett was camping on the knoll of a mountain with his two dogs, Bristow and Harland.  His last journal entries described the beauty and peace of the area, his brother said.

"Bristow was in bed with him and Harland was outside the open door," David Bennett said.

A mountain biker recognized the vehicles from a missing person's segment they had seen on a local television station and called the Sheriff's Office.

"We should all be so lucky to cross over in our sleep while on an planned adventure, at peace with the world and having lived a good life just the way we wanted to," David Bennett said.

David Bennett said he will be traveling to Montana to bring back his brother and the dogs.

"If I don't find a perfect home for the dogs where someone will take care of them the way Mark did, then the dogs will stay with me and my dog Rusty forever," he said.
