The Oral Roberts men's soccer team played the back side of a weekend trip in Indiana, Sunday, falling to a very good defensive squad in Evansville, 4-0.

The Golden Eagles (2-8, 1-1) return to the pitch on Saturday for a conference showdown on the road with Kansas City at 7 p.m.

When all was said and done, the two squads combined for a total of 29 fouls, including five yellow cards.

In the 84th minute, the Golden Eagles had their best opportunity to get on the board as Trevor Laffoon had a good look at the net that was saved the Evansville keeper, Robert Randant.

After Laffoon's shot on goal, the Golden Eagles had a couple more chances to keep the Purple Aces from recording the shutout. Ryan Wiet had two great looks within the final three minutes of the match, but Randant didn't back down between the post, keeping the Golden Eagles scoreless.

Entering Sunday's match, the Golden Eagles were allowing their opponents to take just over 19 shots a contest. However, despite the four goals scored, the Golden Eagles only allowed 12 shots by the Purple Aces, six of which were on goal.

Ryan Grashik got the start between the posts for the Golden Eagles, picking up two saves on the way to his fifth loss of the season.

Evansville's Faik Hajderovic scored the first two goals of the afternoon for the Purple Aces in the 27th and 47th minutes, while teammate Mark Gonzalez tacked on the final two goals in the 66th and 73rd minute.
