Police are searching for a killer who gunned down a man Sunday afternoon in the parking lot of a northwest Oklahoma City apartment complex.

Investigators are not only searching for the gunman; they are searching for another possible victim.

Police were called to the Putnam Green Apartments in the 7400 block of Knight Lake Drive just before 4:30 p.m. Police say there were several people in the area when the victim was shot. Witnesses told investigators the victim actually walked a short distance and then collapsed. An ambulance transported him to OU Medical Center, where he died.

The victim's name and age have not been released. Police say it's possible the shooting may have been gang related.

Police say another person may have also been hit by gunfire, but they have not located the possible victim.

"We have some evidence to lead us to believe that there is [sic] possibly two victims, but so far only one is all that we've found," Lt. Don Holland said.

Police say this area is plagued by violence and crime. Last week, only a few blocks away, a stray bullet hit a 12-year-old boy inside an apartment at a complex at W. Wilshire and Lyrewood Lane. He was hit in the foot and is recovering from the injury.

Police have not released a description of the suspect. They say a white Acura may somehow be involved. Anyone with information about the fatal shooting is asked to call the Homicide Tip Line at (405) 297-1200.
