Halloween may still be a week away, but that didn't keep some of our furry friends from donning their favorite get-ups Tuesday night.

Dozens of dogs and their owners participated in a costume contest at the Woodland West Animal Hospital.

It's the sixth year for the event and everything from bulls to bees, even the occasional banana made an appearance.

"I just love how creative people are, with their pets inside their family, and that's what we really like to see the whole family issue, with the pet, children and owners all involved," Hospital Director Mike Jones said.

This year's winner was House, who dressed up as a fish.

House and his owner walked away with a $400 gift package for taking the top prize.
