Store Clerk Injured During Tulsa Store Robbery

Tulsa Police are looking for a man grabbed a handful of cash from a register and ran out the door of a CVS store at 71st and Yale early Saturday morning.

Tulsa Police are looking for a man grabbed a handful of cash from a register and ran out the door of a CVS store at 71st and Yale early Saturday morning.

The clerk told officers the man had just bought an inexpensive cigarette lighter at about 5 a.m. when the clerk open the register's cash drawer, the man reached over the counter and grabbed a handful of bills.

As the clerk was attempting to stop the man and close the drawer, police say the clerk caught the small fingers of both hands in the drawer. EMSA paramedics treated the clerk at the scene.

Tulsa Police are looking for a black male, 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information about the strong-armed robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
