The mother of a man charged with the murder of an elderly Bartlesville woman on Wednesday, October 31st is being sought for allegedly defrauding the elderly woman in 2011.

The mother of a man charged with the murder of an elderly Bartlesville woman on Wednesday, October 31st is being sought for allegedly defrauding the elderly woman in 2011.

Tami Capps, 47 is the daughter of Clara Jean Hammer. The suspect charged with the murder of Hammer, Brandon Capps, 20, remains in the Washington County jail on a $1 million bond.

According to an affidavit filed in Washington County District Court against Tami Capps, it is believed she committed fraud against Clara Hammer by illegally using a credit card belonging to Hammer in the amount of $3,642.31 and running up a phone bill tab of $6,861.90.

Credit card purchases included an airline ticket to England and the AT&T bill included numerous telephone calls to the United Kingdom according to the affidavit.

A warrant for Tami Capps arrest remains outstanding.

Brandon Capps is charged with first degree murder, unauthorized use of a vehicle, petty larceny, driving without a license and possession of a controlled substance.

His next court appearance is set for Friday, November 9th.
