The search is still on for a Rogers County fisherman. Jeremy Brewer disappeared seven days ago when his fishing boat was overtaken by the wind and high waves.

His uncle and cousin survived.

It happened on the west side of Oologah Lake.

Cyndy Tulley said her son was an experienced fisherman, who has spent countless hours on that lake.

She said she won't be at peace until his body is recovered.

"Well, I do have to tell you that my faith is the only thing that's holding me up," Tulley said.

She said she has been living in a fog since her son disappeared a week ago.

"The last time I saw him he brought me a gift," Tulley said.

Jeremy Brewer was reported missing after the boat he was fishing in was overcome by the windblown water of Oologah Lake.

His cousin, Damen Brewer, and uncle, Olen Brewer, survived after swimming to shore.

Investigators say both men showed signs of hypothermia.

"This is the seventh day and every day my daughter and I think we're going to find something out, but no one, no one is giving us information," Tulley said.

Tulley said her son was very familiar with Oologah Lake and the family has hired a private investigator, because they question what's being said about the incident.

Meanwhile the search for his body is still underway.

"We started early, early this morning just right after daylight," said Oklahoma Highway Patrol Trooper Ben Chapman.

Search crews have been using side-scanning sonar, airplanes, cadaver dogs, even professional fishermen and their high-tech sonar.

Chapman said, even though it's been seven days, he's not surprised Brewer's body hasn't surfaced. He said bodies stay underwater for a longer period of time when the temperatures are cold.

"Considering the clothing, the coveralls, the boots—it could take some time," Chapman said.

"He wanted to appear fearless," Tulley said.

Tulley said she's doing everything she can to keep her composure.

She said she just wants to know how her son could drown and she desperately wants his body to be found.

"It won't be permanent closure, when the body's found, but it will be, ‘Here he is.' We'll know where he is. We don't even know where he is, right now," Tulley said.

OHP said they have no evidence to suggest anything other than an accidental drowning.

They plan to keep searching every day until they find his body.
