A man from Sand Springs, Oklahoma, was killed after he crashed his car on State Highway 97 Saturday afternoon.

It happened at 5:05 p.m. Saturday on highway 97, about one mile south of Woodridge Drive and three and half miles north of Sand Springs.

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a 2001 Chevy Malibu driven by 34-year-old Bradley Fisher was southbound on highway 97, when it failed to negotiate a left curve in the roadway. The vehicle then ran off the roadway to the right, hitting an embankment, and went airborne before colliding with several trees.

Fisher was pronounced dead at the scene due to massive injuries, according to troopers. He was not wearing a seat belt.

Troopers say they did smell an odor of alcohol on Fisher. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
