The new Associated Press college basketball poll was released on Monday afternoon, and for the first time in the Travis Ford era at Oklahoma State, the Cowboys made the cut.

Fresh off of Sunday's surprising 76-56 throttling of North Carolina State in the Puerto Rico Tipoff title game, the Cowboys have moved up to No. 20 in the AP rankings.

This comes the same day that Le'Bryan Nash and Marcus Smart took home the Big 12 awards for Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively.

The Cowboys are also ranked No. 22 in this week's Coaches Poll.

It is the first time OSU has been ranked in the AP poll since Feb. 12, 2007 when OSU was No. 18 and already on a downward trend in a season where it had been ranked as high as No. 9 in Sean Sutton's first campaign as head coach.

OSU is one of just three ranked Big 12 teams in the polls. Kansas (2-1) is ranked No. 12 in the AP and No. 11 in the coaches. Baylor (4-1) is ranked No. 24 in the AP and No. 21 in the coaches.

Former Big 12 members Missouri (No. 11) and Colorado (No. 23) were also in the AP poll. Texas and Kansas State both received votes.

OSU hosts Portland State at 2:05 p.m. on Sunday in Gallagher-Iba Arena before hitting the road to take on ACC for Virginia Tech on Dec. 1.
