Green country students shared an American tradition Sunday by helping special needs children pitch, bat and run the bases.

About twenty kids from the Tulsa Center for Autism came out to play in the annual Buddy Baseball game.

Their "buddies" were players from the Jenks High School baseball team.

The players said this is their favorite event of the year.

"We're out here always competing and we just have a day to come make someone's day and just make them smile. It's awesome," said Jenks player Eric Kanady.

They don't keep score, but every player does get a trophy after the game.
