Tulsa police said a man high on cocaine set fire to his East Tulsa motel room Friday afternoon.

Jamal Evan Frazier, 24, of Tulsa, was booked on complaints of first-degree arson, obstruction of justice, resisting arrest and assault and battery.

Officers were dispatched to the Americas Best Value Inn and Suites, 3509 S. 79th E. Avenue, to assist with a fight just before 5 p.m.

Firefighters extinguished a fire in a room occupied by Frazier, an arrest report said.

"Jamal willfully and maliciously set fire to his room while under the influence of cocaine," the report says.

Frazier began running around the motel, dumping trash bins and fighting with people and attacked someone with a fire extinguisher, according to the report.

Police said Frazier wouldn't cooperate with officers and began to bite and kick officers while he was being arrested.

He is being held in lieu of $22,200 bond.
