Cherokee County Convenience Store Robbed At Gunpoint

A convenience store clerk was robbed at gunpoint near Tahlequah around 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Investigators say the masked suspect went into Speedy's Convenience store, east of Tahlequah at State Highway 62 and Wellington Road, and forced the clerk at gunpoint to empty the cash register.

Then, deputies say the clerk was pushed into the walk-in cooler, while the suspect made his getaway with a black sack full of cash.
