Tulsa County Sheriff Stanley Glanz was sworn in to his seventh consecutive term Wednesday morning. Judge Jim Caputo officiated in the ceremony.

Tulsa County Clerk Pat Key was also sworn it. It is her first term for the county. County Commissioner Karen Keith, first elected in 2008, again took the oath of office as did Court Clerk Sally Howe Smith.

Glanz began serving in the position January, 1989 and became the longest elected Tulsa County sheriff in February, 2012.

This year marks his 25th year of service.

Glanz lists among his proudest accomplishment for the department: advances in technology, protective gear, and speciality units such as the SWAT team, dive team and mounted patrol. His administration has also received recognition for its efforts to work alongside Immigration and the Department of Homeland Security.

Glanz was inducted into the Oklahoma Sheriff's Hall of Fame in August, 2012, one of the highest awards achievable by an Oklahoma lawman. He has served with the United States Air Force and the Tulsa Police Department as well.
