Oklahoma Highway Patrol: Watch For Black Ice Sunday Morning

Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers warn that there are still slick spots on many highways Sunday morning, and they urge drivers to use caution.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol updates their road conditions map regularly. The reports below were updated at 8 a.m. Sunday.

Tulsa's OHP Troop B is reporting slick spots in Tulsa, Creek and Rogers County. Anyone traveling Sunday morning is encouraged to reduce their speeds and watch for black ice.

Use extra caution on bridges and overpasses.

Muskogee OHP: The roadways in Wagoner, Cherokee, Adair, Muskogee, McIntosh, Haskell and Sequoyah Counties have become slick in spots due to snowfall and previous freezing mist.

If you must travel please go very slow and allow for plenty of stopping time. Caution is strongly advised.

Vinita OHP: The Interstate 44 Will Rogers Turnpike and the Cherokee Turnpike are slick in spots. There have been several accidents on the I-44 Will Rogers Turnpike due to slick bridges and overpasses.

Reduced speeds are encouraged; watch for black ice.

Pawhuska OHP:Worked several accidents in all five counties: Kay, Noble, Osage, Pawnee and Payne. Roads are very slick on bridges and overpasses.

Use extreme caution and watch for black ice.

Oklahoma City OHP: Lincoln and Pottawatomie Counties are still slick in spots. Logan, Canadian, Oklahoma, Cleveland, and McClain Counties have no hazardous conditions at this time.
