Police Make Arrest In Stabbing Death, Tulsa's 10th Homicide Of 2013

Detectives now say witnesses placed Dennis Daney, 55, with the victim on the porch of the home at 1349 East Haskell Street. The victim was then seen staggering off the porch and collapsing.

Police made an arrest for Tulsa's 10th homicide of 2013, after a man was stabbed to death on the city's north side.

The call went out around 5:15 p.m.

Detectives say witnesses saw Dennis Daney, 55, with the victim, Justin Todd, 31, on the porch of the home at 1349 East Haskell Street.

Todd was then seen staggering off the porch and collapsing.

Daney was arrested on first degree murder complaints and is being booked into Tulsa County jail.

According to Department of Corrections records, Daney has a number of prior convictions, including assault and battery, assault upon a police officer, DUI, and possession of a controlled dangerous substance, meth.

Investigators say they collected a weapon from the scene.

Todd was transported by EMSA to an area hospital, where he died at 6:01 p.m., police say.
