TULSA, Oklahoma - Investigators have identified human remains found on Sunday, January 27, by hikers near the bank of the Arkansas River west of Tulsa, county officials have confirmed.

The Tulsa County Medical Examiner's office identified the remains as Thomas Martin, who was 70 years old when he was reported missing in June 2010.

Back in 2010, Tulsa Police said they suspected foul play in Martin's disappearance, but they never had any real leads.

Martin's son said his father's medication was left behind. His vehicle was also left in the driveway, but there was blood found inside it.

According to the sheriff's office, the case is being investigated as a homicide, but the cause of death is still yet to be determined.
